The Congress is the highest authority of the FIBT. The Congress elects an Executive Committee that is responsible for governing the Federation. The Executive Committee consists of the President and Vice Presidents overseeing the following areas:

- International Affairs
- Marketing and Events
- Communications
- Legal Affairs
The Secretary General is a non-voting member of The Executive Committee.
